The Saucey Sauce Co is looking for a self-starter, independent, and motivated individual on a part time or full time basis. This position can be flexible depending on the applicants experience and interests.
We are looking for a Operations Associate to join our small but growing rockstar team. The job is great for someone who is looking for part-time work to start and would like to ease potentially into a full-time role, depending on performance So what kind of person are we looking for? Someone who is entrepreneurial, creative, and who thrives in a fast paced environment. More importantly, someone who LOVES FOOD. This person should be OK working in a startup environment with a little ambiguity and a tad bit of chaos occasionally. It’s a flexible work environment so its perfect for those who don’t need to work in an office all day and are OK with getting hands dirty.
The role will include performing the following duties:
- Buyer and Retail Manager Engagement: The Operations Associate will be a primary liaison with buyers and current retail customer. He or She will be arranging and doing demos, doing sample drops, and doing product meetings.
- Essential Production Operations: The Associate will also be responsible for managing supply chain, logistics, and delivery time tables. (In other words ordering ingredients and making arrangements for sauce making!)
- All-Hats/Other: The role will also pretty much be a flexible pair of hands to assist in a variety of crazy and often fun stuff. One day could include meeting with a current retailer customer and surveying how our product is being displayed in the shelf, another might be gathering intelligence on how the sauce’s sales performance has been, looking for other potential sales opportunities, responding to media requests, and event planning.
In other words, it’s like an MBA for being in the food business! Food industry experience is NOT necessary! We’re just want to meet fun and motivated people!

We are a young brooklyn based artisanal vietnamese inspired sauce company that started out with a humble table at Smorgasburg and the Hester Street fair, but recently have expanded to over 40 retail customers nationwide including Dean & Deluca, Morton Williams, Central Markets, and more! We’re continually expanding!
As a start-up company, the role requires the team to be passionate about food and flexible. This may include handling 15lb cases of sauce, attending food or fundraising events during evenings and sometimes weekends. Hours are flexible (not always traditional 9-5). This position can be available on a part-time or full-time basis. Work will be done at our office in Cobble Hill or remotely, depending on team’s needs. You’ll be working closely with both co-founders and chief of operations who collectively have over 30 years of business experience.
